    1996 Ford Thunderbird LX! Drag Ready! This is the ultimate sleeper car. On street tires it runs an 8.6 sec. 1/8 mile at 82mph. I have a brand new set of Mickey Thompson street radials that go with the car. I installed them when I bought them about two months ago because I thought I was going drag racing one weekend and it ended up raining all weekend! I did however test them when it dried up outside, and there are no traction issues anymore! I didn’t get a chance to test the Mickey Thompsons on the drag strip, but I’m certain it will run low 8’s! This car is in perfect running condition. Everything installed on the vehicle was done by a professional engine builder. Andy Woods, owner of Crossroads Performance is the builder. The car has faded paint on the rear bumper and near the rear of the vehicle. It has never been in an accident. I have a recent carfax on hand to verify information. Alpine CD player, cold A/C, power steering. Oil changes every 3000 miles. Transmission fluid and filter change every 30,000 miles. Recent brake and powersteering fluid flush. EXCELLENT CONDITION!! Asking $5700, OBO. Cell: 828-238-8882. Ask for Dave. List of modifications: 4.6L aluminum block(Teksid) from a 1993 Mark VIII. Cobra Crank, rods, and pistons. Clevite 77 rod bearings. Plasma Molly piston rings. Cobra oil pump. Aluminum PI heads with 5-angle valve job. Ferrea valves, titanium retainers and Comp springs. Comp cams custom ground to the flow specifications of the heads. PI intake manifold with Trick flow Upper intake. JBA shorty headers with high flow Cats, custom X-pipe, and 1000 series flowmaster mufflers. Conical intake filter. SCT custom tuned by Trudyno Autosports in Newton, NC. Built transmission with TCI streetfighter high stall converter. 4:30 rear end with track lock. KYB shocks and struts at all 4 wheels. Intrax lowering springs. Polyurethane swaybar links. Custom drag links in rear for better launch off the line. Interior gauges for monitoring alt. voltage, oil pressure, and A/F mixture. Polyurethane engine and transmission mounts.
