    1999 Bondurant Cobra SVT Instructor's Car #54

    This car was a Instructor's car form the Bondurant School of High Performance.

    These cars were sent to Roush Racing to be race prepped for the Bondurant School. The cars features include the following:

    Engine Specs: SVT Mustang Cobra 4.6L 4V with 320+ HP.

    Emissions controls removed.

    Custom Bondurant engine calibration.

    Custom H-Pipe with catalytic converters removed.

    Custom cooling system including production 6.8L V10 water pump, 2001 SVT Mustang Cobra R radiator, engine driven fan with custom shroud and an 18in. electric cooling fan.

    2001 SVT Mustang Cobra R engine oil cooler.

    Battery located in the trunk in explosion-proof box with quick disconnect terminals and master switch.

    Transmission / Drive train SVT Mustang Cobra Tremec T-45 5 speed with carbon fiber blocking rings. (Hand-assembled by Roush)

    B&M Ripper Shifter.

    Custom steel driveshaft with safety hoop.

    Production 3.55:1 axle ratio with limited slip.

    Fuel System 22 Gallon Kevlar-Polycarbonate racing fuel cell.

    Custom stainless steel and braided fuel lines.

    Front Suspension Eibach 800lb per inch springs.

    Monroe struts with custom calibration.

    Production 1.10in. diameter hollow sway bar.

    Modified alignment settings.

    Camber 3.2 degrees negative.

    Caster 4.0 degrees positive.

    Toe 0.10 degrees negative.

    Rear Suspension Eibach 350lb per inch springs.

    Monroe struts with custom calibration.

    Monroe kicker shocks with custom calibration.

    Production 1.0in. diameter solid sway bar.

    Currently 26K miles, only run only fully synthetic motor oil (Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec), just recieved new ball joints/outer tie rods and spring isolators installed by a ASE certified Master Mechanic.

    Please note that these are 'FX' cars (Factory Experimental), not sold in showrooms or dealer stock, these were custom-ordered from Ford Motorsport specifically for Bondurant, they were removed from the assembly lines and hand picked, also having required additional spot-welds to strengthen the chassis. Then shipped to Roush for a complete dissassembly and rebuilt to Bondurant's specs.

    The Cobra still possess a full interior, power steering, ABS (with custom defeat switch), power windows/locks, and functional Air Conditioning.

    This particular car is 1 of less than a dozen Cobra model Instructor's vehicles (regular students drove modified GT's), Ford requires these be crushed when no longer used, and nearly all of them are. I have traced the history of 3 of the sister cars, (all other's being destroyed), one has been sold to Mustang On Track Driving School, another sold to a private party (non street legal, no title car) and the last converted to Cobra R spec with a body kit and repaint, currently for sale in Arizona at $29,000 (with no title)

    A $150,000 Bond was issued and held on this car for 3 years to secure the title.

    It currently has a clear unbranded DOT NC title, ready to be transferred to a new owner.
