  I"m selling a 2008 Subaru Forester XT Sports in Dark Grey Metallic. I"ve owned the car since March 2011 and put my share of miles on the car. When I bought it, it had only 47K on the odometer. That"s now up to 90K and some change. I flew to Chicago to get this car, as when I bought it, it was one of two for sale in the US. She has been the best car I"ve ever owned. Great for road trips to the beach, or across the country. Weatherproof floormats and all wheel drive mean you can take this car into snow and mud without ruining a thing. Though I prefer a manual transmission, I bought this car as an automatic so non-savvy parents and friends could drive it. I"m selling this car because I had a bit of a change of heart. I"ve changed my daily driver to a hybrid, and I thought that having two turbocharged Subarus was a little bit of overkill (I also own a 2002 STi). Believe me when I say I"m not happy about this arrangement, but I think it"s in my best interests to let it go to someone who can enjoy it more than I. Detailed Description: This forester xt has 224hp, with 226 ft-lbs of torque, through a 4 speed automatic. Though no modifications are needed, the engine is identical to the 2006-7 Impreza WRX which means it is easy to improve upon those numbers in a relatively cheap fashion. This car is completely stock other than the improved brake calipers, rotors, pads, and of course, wheels. The reason the brakes were upgraded is I found the stock brakes to be a little small. Now, the car can stop on a dime (something I encourage you to test if you decide to see if this car is right for you). The brakes were big enough I had to get wheels to fit over them, and I think they are an improvement over the stock silver wheels. This car is priced higher than Kelly Blue Book (which by the way is a hair under 16K). You"ll notice the other foresters for sale on autotrader are going between 16.5K to 18K (none of which are as good as this forester). I want to sell the car quickly, so decided to shoot for the middle ground on the two other XT base models I found. If you are concerned about price, or want this car to have some more push when you put the pedal down, I have two other options other than the AS IS price. 18000 For a little more money, I will install the mods I was intending to do to this car. That would be a "stage 2" upgrade of a better flowing exhaust, and a Cobb Accessport ready to be tuned. This would leave you with over 300 ft-lbs of torque, more than enough to get out ahead of any semi on an on-ramp, or blast down a particularly treacherous dirt road. 16000 For those who aren"t as worried about stopping, or looks, I will remove the wheels and brakes, as I still have the stock parts.
