Optima battery relocated to hatch.. The motor was built up from a bare block at Performance Motorsports in Cincinnati Ohio. THE TRANSMISSION FEATURES Limited slip differential.. 4.06 final drive gears.. Clutch masters stage 3 clutch and flywheel.. Steeda short throw shifter.. Just had new slave cylinder and front seal put in.. The car was dyno tuned by Modular Depot in Southgate Kentucky (the big NMRA mustang racer guys) It puts out 214 horsepower to the wheels at 8 psi of boost. 214 HP seemed like a safe place to keep it for 500 or so break in miles, well I never even got that many on it yet. The compression in this motor is lowered, so it would be safe to run more boost. I still have the SCT Xcalibrator 2 so you will not need to purchase one to re-tune the motor. It is conservatively projected to be in the middle 300 horsepower range at the wheels if the boost is turned up. ...Background... I am the second owner. Clean and clear title in hand. I drove it till it hit 41,XXX miles and then started to play. The motor currently has about 450 miles on it. At this point I was out driving it, nearing the end of the break in period, I took the opportunity to play with a STi, shifted hard from second to third and blew the front seal in the transmission. The transmission now has a new front seal and slave cylinder. All the rest of the miles were nice easy break in miles. The motor has only been under full boost conditions a few times. This motor is scary fast with this power to weight ratio. The few times I played on the street, a Subaru STi was the hardest competition and I stayed door to door with him, everything else could not keep up. And this was just on the break in tune. The car has never been to the drag strip so I cannot give a quarter mile time. I recently started the effort to get it out of the garage as strictly a drag car, but it is still currently street legal in Ohio. While it was in the garage, I started it at least once a month to keep the seals fresh. It was always covered and well taken care of. Trust me if it was not for the family I would not part with it, I love my ford motorsports. The motor parts are all there to make it go fast, it just needs its fine tuning done since it has just reached its break in period. It was at the NMRA event in Columbus Ohio over Labor Day weekend 2010 and placed 1st in the focus/compact class in the car show on Saturday and Sunday.

I went with subtle and only functional modifications to keep the look of a sleeper. Functional ram air hood, Hella headlights, Battery cut-off switch mounted through the passenger brake light. Set of one-off Bogart Racing Drag RT wheels for the track. They are 15x8.5 Front and 15x3.5 Rear. They come with 225-50-15 Hoosier DOT drag radials and 165R-15 rear tires. They are two piece construction, CNC billet centers welded to the rim shell. Custom adapters were made to fit the stock ford centercaps. I have a set of stock steel wheels that the car sits on 95% of the time. The tires are pretty much bald and not streetable anymore, but are still good for moving the car around the garage. This car sat since September 2007 covered in a garage, slowly getting worked on to the point where it is today. Body is a 8 out of 10. The car was driven for 41000 miles before the motor swap so it has some small paint chips and scratches.

The interior of this car has a New Image dash cover. It has two individual gauge pods built into it. It was painted to match the exterior Silver Frost color. I also painted the vents and dash trim pieces in ford blue with a metallic clear coat so they really stand out in the sun light. There are a total of five Autometer gauges in the car, all the cobalt series. The two in the pillar pod are a wide-band air/fuel and a boost gauge. The three on the dash are a tach, oil temperature and exhaust temperature. The battery has been moved to the hatch, with charging posts in the rear bumper. There is a 7 point roll bar installed. I do have the extra rear brace to make it an 8 point cage. Inside the hatch is a rear strut bar that was then tied into a down tube of the roll bar. The entire roll bar inside the passenger area is padded. This car is so stiff with the roll bar installed.

Needs a general tune up.. and Re-Tuned for bigger numbers..... If interested I have a BigTex 16 foot open trailer. 2 axles, 1 axle has brakes. Probably has around 1500 miles on it. I installed a 3000 pound winch to the front of it. I also sealed the wood with some deck paint. Also have 4 Mac's custom tiedowns with chain extensions and axle wraps and 2 Mac's wheel nets. I would let all this go for an additional $1500. with the car.
