In stock form it features a 205 hp supercharged engine coupled to a stronger close ratio Getrag F35 5-speed manual trans. Stiffer springs, revalved shocks, performance sway bars, larger disc brakes, 17 forged alloy rims, sticky Dunlops, Recaro racing seats, and a special aero effects kit finish off the package. The Redline uses a de-stroked 2.0L lower compression version of GM's Ecotec engine developed & track tested at Germany's famous Nurburgring. Other features include a big 7 quart oil capacity to keep things cool at the track, an air-to-water intercooler to keep boost cold, equal length half shafts to minimize torque steer, and electronic throttle control for immediate response.
